A new website offers an archive of information for those searching for ancestors, or interested in the history of the former hamlet of Highfield.
highfieldhistory.co.uk was apparently inspired when a small boy asked what was written on the gravestones he passed on his way to school.
Now the well put together site, which is under development, already includes the beginnings of a major historical project. But as the publisher says, it will never be finished as there will always be something to add.
